Inc <a style=\"user-select: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/justin-bariso\/it-took-jeff-bezos-only-three-words-to-drop-the-best-advice-youll-hear-today.html\">drew special attention<\/a> to his principle of &#8220;Disagree and commit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"user-select: auto;\">When I read the article, this principle felt familiar to me, then I remembered where I had seen it before. It is the 13th <a style=\"user-select: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.jobs\/principles\">Amazon Leadership Principle<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"user-select: auto;\">\n<p class=\"title\" style=\"user-select: auto;\"><strong style=\"user-select: auto;\">&#8220;Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"user-select: auto;\">Leaders are obligated to respectfully challenge decisions when they disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. Leaders have conviction and are tenacious. They do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion.
