What is going on in this town (London)?

Whilst I was away in wonderful Belgrade, I see I missed some fine old London horror-crimes…

Another teenager gets stabbed to death and a bus driver beats a student girl to pulp, this is not too far from normal London lawlessness. But the following story is shocking:

A gang forces woman out of her car and rapes her!

Detectives are hunting a “vicious” gang after a woman was forced from her car and raped in an alleyway.

The 39-year-old victim’s ordeal began when she was confronted by six men after buying groceries from the International Mini-Market on Ladywell Bridge, Lewisham.

The men followed her to her car but she managed to drive off towards Lewisham High Street. But when she stopped just over the railway bridge the gang caught up with her and surrounded the car.

One of the men got inside and when the woman tried to escape, another man dragged her to a nearby alleyway.

…The rapist is described as aged 39, black with chinlength dreadlocks. The rest of the gang are black and aged between 25 and 40.

Finally, the bystander attitude that make all these attacks possible

Why did nobody help?’

A teenage girl spoke today for the first time of her nightmare ordeal at the hands of a gang of “steamers” who terrorised passengers on a packed commuter train.

Louise Webster, 19, was sexually abused and beaten up when she challenged the gang. Yet none of her fellow travellers came to her aid. Twenty other passengers - mostly men - averted their eyes as she was punched, molested, sworn at and mocked.

The judge who jailed the gang described them as “a pack of wild animals”. MORE

The frightening thing is that these thugs above carried out their reign of terror last year (2003).

Look what happened this month:

20-strong steaming gang bring terror to travellers

Police are hunting a gang of 20 men who raided a train - stabbing one man in the leg and threatening other passengers with broken bottles and knives.

The steaming gang, described as black and in their late teens to early twenties, surrounded their victims and robbed them of their mobile phones, wallets and jewellery as they travelled on the Silverlink metro service in north London.

The attack happened last night as crowds made their way home from the Notting Hill Carnival.

Some passengers tried to fight back but were beaten down into their seats. MORE

I think it is time to ask Giuliani to take over from Red Ken immediately. We have a chance to speak to him at the Leaders In London conference that is taking place on 18th & 19th October.
