The secret life of Cory Kennedy - LA Times

by limbic on March 15, 2007

My pal Dacha is making a documentatry on the “Internet Phenomenon” whereby “something relatively or completely unknown becomes hugely popular, often quite suddenly, through the mass propagation of media content made feasible by the Internet.”[1]

One of these Internet Phenomena is Cory Kennedy.

According to Wikipedia:

Cory Kennedy is an American Internet celebrity who became an international style phenomenon in 2006. Labeled an “Internet It girl” by Gawker.com[1] and a “club urchin” by LA Weekly[2], her MySpace page has garnered over 4,000 “friends”. She was able to parlay her minor celebrity into a career as a fashion model, all before her parents were even aware of what was going on.

The  Los Angeles Times has a good article on her with pictures.

I must say I find this kid to be way too cutesy/irritating to take seriously. She is a a classic woobie, and everyone knows I am for woobie extermination.
