Transloader

This site makes it easy to transfer files to your web server. Mostly it is useful for sites like FlamingText.com and ImageBot.com to send generated images to another server (such as your web server or ftp server). This is particularly useful for WebTV users who can't save images on their own machine.

How to Survive Without Audiogalaxy:
A Guide to File-Sharing Alternatives
MouseTrax File Cataloger
As Featured in Lockergnome!
Works with Microsoft Word 2000 or 2002

Dian does a lot of project management work and likes to organize files by linking them to a master
document with hyperlinks. This allows her to keep one master file and easily sort and locate the files she needs with a single hyperlink click. But linking a lot of files can take time. So Greg, great guy that he is, built Dian a cool utility to do the job for her! (And now he uses it too, to keep all his Administrative logs sorted!)

Greg Chapman shares his freeware Cataloger utility with you here. Just download it, double click to unzip, and place the resulting, unzipped DOT file somewhere convenient (like your desktop!). Then whenever you have a pile of files you'd like to organize, just double click this Word template to open it and an option dialog box will open. Set your preferences, point it at a directory and let 'er rip. In a few moments, you'll have a document linking all the files.

And for VBA fans, Greg has left his code open for you to learn and enhance.

Note! For great ideas of how to use this cool utility, see Dian's Get Organized Now! article in Computor Companion Ezine at: http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=149. This article describes the idea behind the Cataloger creation and ways to use it. Think of all the photo files, document, project files, or even music files you have scattered around your hard drive. Wouldn't it be nice to have them organized? Download this free utility and see how easy it can be to sort them.

COPYRIGHT! Note that this code is copyrighted to MouseTrax.com. You are free to use it, give it to friends, learn from it, and enhance it; but you may not sell this code as your own!

This is particularly useful for WebTV users who can't save images on their own machine. Although we have no pre-set limits (okay, it's 2.4 GB), the transfers that you do through Transloader.com must be completed in five minutes. This server is capable of transferring over 1 Gig per minute; if you are talking to a slow server, your job may not complete in time. Other transloaders sometimes suffer from overloading (too many people using them), which is why I wrote this one. Hopefully, this will never happen to us, but in any case, check these others out, they have some nice services..."

Google date based search

"Google offers a date-based syntax, but you can only access it via the advanced search, which limits your time options, or the daterange: syntax, which uses Julian dates and is a bit difficult to use. This form is a way to search for sites added today, yesterday, within the last seven days, or last 30 days. You can search now and you can create an URL that you can use in search monitoring services like TracerLock -- more about that in a minute. "
