Ever since that chap has started selling Magic Mushrooms on Portobello Market (”Pete”), there has been an epidemic of tripping in the neighbourhood.
Almost every day I see troops of trippers laughing hysterically at mundane objects, passers by and traffic. A worker in Sainsbury’s bread area confided that she has seen a huge upsurge in trippers. A midget Community Police Officer cautioned me that he too had seen outbreaks across his “Operational Zone”.
Just yesterday I saw several hysterical adults delighted beyond measure by the bank machines at the Barclays on Ladbroke Grove. Later I spotted them at the Elgin photographing passing traffic. The comic effect was unbearable to one of the males who writhed on the ground as though they had been hit by a phosophorous grenade.
