There I was diligently posting away thinking all was well until someone remarked the other day that I had not posted “in ages”.
As I had posted that very day, I was puzzled and checked the front page (as opposed to the Moveable Type back end).
It was indeed frozen in time several weeks back.
My indexes were not publishing properly. Something serious was wrong and I still do not know what it was.
I was forced to restore this blog from back-ups today. Nothing is lost and in fact a grim problem with duplicate posts has also been solved so all in all this failure has been positive.
I plan to get the new templates etc working in the next few days
Sorry about the long (apparent) delay in posts. Normal traffic will return henceforth.
By the way, a special note of thanks to the man from Mongolia (you know who you are)and his yaks. They are my de facto editors sometimes. Thanks guys.
