Danica from Belgrade and Beyond tagged me with the Eight random facts meme, so here goes:
1. I have three nationalities: South African, Irish and British.
2. I was a professional actor and amongst other things performed in Dublin’s longest running play “Goodbye to the Hill” by Lee Dunne.
3. I was a professional beach Lifeguard.
4. I was a professional secondary school teacher.
5. I once revived a heart attack victim on the floow of Terminal 2’s Green Customs Channel. Here is the twirst, I helped bring on the attack by arguing with him at the baggage carousel after he verbally attacked a friend. He survived and has no recollection of the incident.
6. I used to be aerophobic (afraid of flying), but I was cured by a friend in 5 minutes using an NLP fast phobia cure.
7. I am a (mal)practicing Buddhist, but also have gnostic and stoic elements to my life philosophy.
8. My favourite hymn is “Land of Our Fathers” (the Welsh national anthem) [3mb MP3] even though I am not Welsh and cannot speak a word of Welsh gaelic. “Amazing Grace” [1mb MP3] is unbearably lovely, but it makes me too emotional, especially on the bagpipes.
