I found out at the weekend that the BBC film about a radiological bomb is being filmed in London at the moment. The film was axed last year because of political pressures (apparently Greg Dyke had to call newspaper editors at 1am), but it have been revived for an October 2004 screening. The film follows several characters - Chief of Police, a member of the Al Qaeda cell, a fireman and intelligence operative as they respond to the crisis. The film team is in Woolwich filming burning buildings this week.
My sources tell me the film will be harrowing and is partly intended to bring home the reality of such a strike.
