There are enough lurid photos to drip feed them 1 or 2 at a time onto the frontpages for 50 years.
They are losing their effectiveness and after the Berg slaughter, no longer shocking.
Predictably alarmist elements close to me are predicting “revenge”. One colleague predicted they - Al Qaeda - will use them as justification for terror attacks and his benighted opinion, divorced as it is from both history and reality, they would be justified in doing so.
I did not ask him if 9/11 was deserved or if in his universe, he was certain these prisoners were not Iraqi servicemen receiving “revenge” for the horrors meted out to Saddam’s enemies in those dungeons.
Al Qaeda have already told us why and by what reasons they want and are permitted to annihilate us: we are not Muslims. Not that Muslims are safe either. Al Qaeda wil slaugter them too if itsuits their fascist authoritarian medieval and hateful ideology.
May they go quickly to the gravetard of totalist ideologies and join communism and fascism. May their useful idiots like my coleague be accounted for by posterity.
